It would be if they were just lumped together in an undifferentiated
list, but DC does provide for "element refinements" and "encoding
schemes" which allow you to specify that a particular subject label is a
DDC number, an LCSH or from various other schemes. It should be possible
for a computer to interpret these and present them sensibly to the user.
(I'm not saying that any systems actually do so, any more than few
systems extract class numbers from MARC records and make them easily
searchable, but it should be possible . . .)
As far as lumping personal and corporate names together is concerned, is
that not how they are normally presented to users as name indexes to
catalogues?
