This position requires the ability to read and interpret scientific,
technical, professional, or medical literature in English and one or more of
the following languages: French, German, Russian, Japanese. In your
application, please be sure to address the language requirement, and also
the knowledges, skills, and abilities (KSAs) listed in the announcement: (1)
Knowledge of principles and practices of collection development and
acquisitions, including those issues related to electronic publishing;(2)
Knowledge of the print and electronic literature of medicine, health, life
sciences, chemistry, health policy and/or behavioral sciences; (3) Ability
to edit MARC data in integrated library systems or bibliographic utilities
and to utilize computer software; and (4) Ability to write clearly and to
communicate effectively with vendors, library staff, and others.
