Gary, I did want to follow up a bit on this thread by asking if your task
force includes an OCLC member or at the least a liaison? I'm asking
because it seems to me that OCLC's Connexion files author's names in a
non-standard manner--presumably related to their normalization
procedure--and I was also concerned by a statement one staffer made about
the normalization of corporate body names. It would be a real advantage if
the PCC and OCLC were normalizing the same way.
