Hi all. I suppose you can blame me for this thread's subject line, as I
wrote the little side-by-side weblog bit first mentioned. It's clear that
there isn't anything I can add to the discussion, so I won't try (again).
To the folks who provided the python CQLParser package: thanks, it
works great! Took me all of 15 minutes to integrate it with my app
(which uses [Py]Lucene).
Ralph: thanks for getting a tester up so quickly. When I try to test
http://unalog.com/sru/? it shows a response ever-so-briefly, then
immediately redirects to the ALCME page. This happens with firefox on
win2k and linux and with IE6 on win2k.
To anyone who can explain why SRU is an order of magnitude more powerful
than OpenSearch (esp. the new 1.1 draft wherein "msft thought up the
ability to request different record formats"), please do... offline
is fine. I don't like getting bitten, even if it's in the future. :)
Looking forward to the new SRW/U site, -Dan
