Don't confuse Wikipedia's problematic implementation with the underlying
wiki principle. Wikis can be password-protected, require logins and
auditing, and so forth.
But a wiki is probably the wrong model in any case. Wikis are designed
for collaborative editing of unstructured hypertext, while a discography
is in essence a database with a bit of free-text annotation.
It has been suggested that what is needed for discography is much like
the IMDB, where all submissions are subject to review before acceptance.
