I must correct myself. There is, of course, a possibility for order and metric.
There is the metric of parents/children aka path length through the tree.
<Element1>
<Element2>
<Element3>
<Element4> ... </Element4>
I even considered one time making my peer etc. stuff as a metric..
I just could not figure out any real utility (other than the perverse goal of
see how else I could search things). I could define it but could not see
any sense in it since in order to understand it you nearly need to know what
the result is.. Search for when you know the answer is not really much of a
search is it?
In the typical flattened world case (as we long needed for Z servers)
its distance=0 is same distance>=1 means universe.
Its application to a well defined element such as word or sentence results
in a very different model (results).
If we really wanted to hammer it in.. we'd need another parameter.. something
like paradigm.. spatial, pathlength or ..
