Has anyone purchased "EAD Tips & Tricks" from SAA? What I got is a
printout of a PowerPoint presentation by Michael Fox, and 2 CDs. The
first CD has audio files and the second CD has a .pdf document that
seems to be the same as the printout. The description in the SAA
Publications catalog says that I should have access to batch files and
XSLT files, but I can't see them anywhere. I have had a lot of trouble
getting the CDs to even be recognized (I tried on 4 different computers,
and can only open it on a laptop) and there is no list anywhere that
says what should be on the CDs.

Subject: MARCEdit
Hello,
I'd just like to let you all know how the extraction of MARC records
from EAD format has progressed. I ended up using the
EADlitetoMARC21slimXML.xsl
to transform EAD to MARCXML using MARCEdit. I then transformed that
file into a MARC record with the *dat extension, and the cataloger here
at CUA was able to load it into Voyager. I had to make some adjustments
to the stylesheet to include all the correct fields, but that did not
take too long.
