OCLC Union List System Will Retire Friday, February 17, 2006
OCLC will retire the Union List system and Passport software on February 17, 2006. All union listing activity will be migrated to the Connexion Browser. OCLC anticipates a possible gap February 17-18, 2006, between the end of Passport for Union List and the beginning of local holdings maintenance in Connexion Browser, but the new system should be available by Sunday, February 19, 2006. General information about the migration can be found here: http://www.oclc.org/unionlist/migration/default.htm.
As part of the migration, OCLC is converting the format of its local data records to the MARC 21 Format for Holdings Data (MFHD). To learn more about the MFHD holdings format and how to use the Connexion Browser to maintain local holdings, please visit http://www.oclc.org/localholdings/default.htm.

The OCLC Serials Union List Offline Products (SULOP) have been retired as of the final production run on December 1, 2005. OCLC will develop replacement products that are expected to meet libraries' needs formerly filled by SULOP products and plans to make these products available as soon as possible, but not before mid-2006.
