NETWORK LIBRARY MANUAL
The subscription codes on the following pages are for magazines and other serial
publications that are currently on the Comprehensive Mailing List System (CMLS).
Publications are listed in alphabetical order by title. These codes must be used by the
network when submitting transactions to CMLS.
The numbers in each code signify the medium:
0 = standard print
1 = braille
2 = large print
3 = cassette
7 = digital text
8 = telephone services
The subscription codes appear in each subscribers record.
CMLS also assigns codes for annual catalogs and bibliographies. To find these codes,
libraries should refer to each biennial catalog survey or to the publications listing on
CMLS WebNet; they are not included on this list.
