Thanks for the bull's eye. The record of Levine and Chamberlin
describing their flight was recorded 12 days after they landed in
Germany and was recorded in German, too. Actors portraying the
aviators recorded a translation on the flip side of the disc.
Is there anyway to know if this was a studio recording or taken from
their publicized radio address? Where were the Parlophone studios?
If anyone is interested, I used part of this disc for the NPR
documentary series The Yiddish Radio Project in the episode on the
flight to Germany (www.yiddishradioproject.org/exhibits/levine/)
...and thank you Brian Rust!
