To those attending the Operations meeting this year, with apologies for any cross-posting:
This year's BIBCO/CONSER OpCo Meeting Dinner will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, at Cafe Belga, a Belgian restaurant at 514 8th Street, SE. Cafe Belga is approximately six blocks from the Library of Congress, or one block from the Eastern Market Metro Station. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
The restaurant has arranged for a "prix fixe" dinner, which consists of an appetizer, an entree, and a special Belgian chocolate dessert. The price for the dinner is $50.00 per person; that price includes 10% DC tax and 17% gratuity. Beverages (Belgian beer highly recommended!) will be billed separately at the restaurant after the dinner. Please see below for the menu selections.
For those of you who attended last year's festive Pakistani dinner at Aatish on the Hill, I think you will find that this year's dinner will be an elegant, alternative experience. Sitting in Cafe Belga, you will be transported to Brussels, and feel that you are in the heart of Europe for the evening. I hope that thought will make the price tag a little easier to swallow.
Please consider the menu below, and then select one appetizer and one entree. It is a difficult decision! Then please respond to me no later than Thursday, April 20, indicating whether or not you can join us for this exciting culinary event on April 27. I will be at the OpCo meeting on April 27, during the morning break and prior to lunch, to collect money and to provide receipts. All payments should be in cash, and should be made by 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 27.
