Dear Nini,
Please e-mail the professor's request to the Cataloging Policy and Support Office at the Library of Congress: [log in to unmask] . They routinely receive such requests from authors with name authorities, and can advise you further on what action can be taken.
Best,

Colleagues,
What action does one take for correcting a name authority that is
available in OCLC but is not the correct format the author prefers. The
name in question is Vanderpost, Cornelis. The authority available is Van
der Post, Cornelis.
This is professor in our institution.
Thank you for your assiatance.
Regards,
Nini

Monica please check the names to ensure that its what Prof wants. This
is what I am going to write.
Colleagues,
One of the researchers in my institution feels that the authority form
of his name is wrong and should be vanderpost, Cornelis and not Van der
post, Cornelis. What is the way forward inensuring that the authority
name is corrected.
