Here's another question: in the Object entity there is the possibility to link to an event by means of linkingEventIdentifier (whose usage is specified as "use to link to events that are not associated with relationships between objects, such as format validation, virus checking, etc."). In the Event entity there is the possibility to link to an object by means of linkingObjectIdentifier, where the rationale says: "Digital provenance often requires that relationships between objects and events are documented." If I understand correctly this introduces a possible redundancy: if an Object A is associated with an Event B, A would link to B through linkingEventIdentifier, and B would link back to A through linkingObjectIdentifier.
I am not sure whether this is intentional. If it is, then I wonder whether there shouldn't be the same redundancy between Agents and Events (where there's currently only the possibility to link an Event to an Agent, but not vice versa). I am aware that both linkingEventIdentifier and linkingObjectIdentifier are optional, and therefore think that we could use only one of them. Is there any recommendation on how to handle this?
Many thanks for your thoughts,
Georg
