Hello - This is an issue we've just begun to address. We are developing
stylesheets to transform the EAD into Word documents.
Word 2003 makes this very easy by offering a 'transform' facility when
saving XML files. At the moment we're just using a few fields from
top-level records so the stylesheet is very basic. The XML looks a bit
daunting at first but it's not hard to tweak after a bit of trial and
error.
Although this method looks very promising, we've only used small
datasets so far. I don't know how Word performs if asked to process
large EAD files.
