JSTOR Participants' Meeting
June 25, 2006
8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Hilton Garden Inn, Woodward Rooms
1001 South Peters Street
JSTOR is pleased to invite you and your library colleagues to our upcoming Participants' Meeting, to be held during the 2006 ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans. The meeting will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2006 in the Woodward Rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn. A continental breakfast will be offered at 8:00 AM, and the meeting will run from 8:30 - 10:00 AM.
Several of our recent Participants' Meetings have included presentations about the importance of archiving, and introductions to the new Portico service. At this summer's meeting, we are interested in exploring another facet of this relationship - how Portico and JSTOR will be working together to incorporate born-digital content into the JSTOR archive. We also look forward to presenting updates in several areas, including content development, a new program for institutions in Africa, and progress on two technology projects: usage statistics development, and the search engine crawl site.
To assist us with catering estimates, we would appreciate if you could let us know by June 16 if you plan to attend by sending an email message to [log in to unmask] or by calling us at 1-734-998-9101 or 1-888-388-3574 (toll free in the United States).
We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans!
