__Special Services Library Consultant__
Use your professional library experience to serve Vermonters who are blind and/or
physically handicapped. Supervise the staff of the Special Services Unit for the blind and
provide direct reader's service to its patrons. Consult with local, public, and state
institution librarians to improve statewide service to those who are blind and/or have
disabilities. Increase public awareness of these services through active collaboration with
other agencies and a variety of public relations activities. Must have excellent listening,
presentation, and writing skills, as well as a willingness to travel in the state. Requires a
master's degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited library program and
at least two years of professional library experience after the degree or five years of library
experience prior to the degree. Berlin - Full-Time.
Beginning Salary: $37,460.
