Network Bulletin No.: 06-29
Date: June 30, 2006
Subject: CMLS
Index term: CMLS web-based publications survey form
NLS is pleased to announce the release of the new web-based publications survey form that replaces
the Publications and Media Section's biennial network library paper survey.
This new WebNet feature allows network libraries to add, delete, or modify the quantity they receive
of NLS publications. Network libraries will have the opportunity to change their First Class (F/C) and
bulk quantities on a quarterly basis as follows:
July 1-15
October 1-15
January 1-15
April 1-15
The new survey page will be available in July 2006. In the future, libraries will be allowed to add a
publication code for patrons requesting catalogs from the biennial patron paper survey.
To access the survey, navigate to www.loc.gov/pics/ and follow these steps:
1. Click on "NLS WebNet" from the menu screen.
2. Click on "CMLS Menu."
3. Click on "Library Master Screen" and follow the steps indicated.
