I got on this list by mistake and haven't gotten around to getting off it.
In the meanwhile, may I ask, what is CQL searching?

P.S. If there is a brief answer, may I stay on the list long enough to read
it?

Subject: [MODS] CQL Bilbiographic Searching Proposal -- August 7 Draft
A new draft (dated August 7) of the proposal for CQL bibliographic
searching is available for review,
at:
http://www.loc.gov/standards/sru/cql-bibliographic-searching.html
This replaces the last public draft dated may 22:
http://www.loc.gov/standards/sru/cql-bibliographic-searching-draft-may-22.ht
ml
and the new draft lists changes since the May 22 draft.
A committee has been (is being) formed to complete this work. Current
members are listed in the new draft. Please consider joining this group
(contact me).
The new draft is the result of public discussion as well as discussion among
the committee, since the May 22 draft. It is available for a brief review
until August 21, after which the committee will develop a draft for final
review.
Please comment on the August 7 draft by August 21. Post comments to the SRU
and/or MODS list.
