Surely now we've seen the light and realised that existing truncation
mechanisms give us what we want, the very last thing we want to do is
introduce new ways of saying the same things?  I think that adding
/starts-with and friends at this stage would be a big mistake.

I say we forget the whole thing.  Let us never speak of it again.
