yes: the "aka" is a bit worrisome, since CSV and tab-delimited are not
the same thing; they're just both flat-file (i.e., non-hierarchical)
data formats.
if people are trying to input multiple values in one field, i ask them
to use the vertical bar (|), which should never occur otherwise in the
data i'm used to seeing.
