Susan Stamberg will be the keynote speaker at the annual DC/SLA Chapter banquet and business meeting. Come and hear this dynamic radio correspondent as she offers tips on interviewing and gives some behind-the-scenes peeks at the NPR library.
In a world of iPods and book-scanning, Susan Stamberg waves the flag for turning radio dials and bound pages in search of information, company, solace, and depth. Susan Stamberg is the Special Correspondent for National Public Radio in Washington DC. In 1971, as co-host of NPR's "All Things Considered," she became the first woman to anchor a nightly national news program. Stamberg's conversational interviewing style has been called "unique, direct, and effective." Her warm, comforting voice puts guests at ease and her ability to listen actively rarely allows a guest to mislead her.
