Machines and Accessories No. 06-05
Date: November 3, 2006
Subject: CT-1 removal from stock
NLS has conducted a management review of warehousing operations and stocks
and on December 1, 2006, will reduce the stock of the obsolete combination machine
model CT-1 to 230, two years of average demand supply. One year from the date of
this report, the remaining CT-1 machine stock will be shipped out for disposal.
Please note that talking-book players (A-1 model) will still be available
to issue to patrons who need them.
All record players have been declared obsolete and should not be repaired. When
these machines are returned to your library for repair, you should remove them from
your machine inventory records and ship them for disposal to Lodestar Recovery,
117 Wade Street, Jamestown, NC 27282. Do not forget to submit the required
BPHICS monthly machine inventory damage report to update the NLS machine
master database record system.
