Did we really? Using "==" for this seems like a terrible mistake to
me, since in all other situations where both "=" and "==" are
ecognised with distinct meanings (C-influenced programming languages),
they are _not_ two different forms of equality comparison, but one is
an assignment operator. I think I would prefer the "eq" that Rob
thought we'd chosen.
