On behalf of the METS Editorial Board, I would like to welcome three new
Board members: Jenn Riley, Indiana University, Tobias Steinke, German
National Library, and Patrick Yott, Brown University.
Jenn Riley is the Metadata Librarian for the Indiana University Digital
Library Program, and an active participant in metadata arenas within the
Digital Library Federation as well other professional library and music
library venues.
Tobias Steinke is currently the Project Manager of the Project Kopal, a
German National Library based co-operative project to develop a long-term
digital information archive. Mr. Steinke is active in digital preservation
issues and standards development and has a software development background.
Patrick Yott is the Digital Initiatives Librarian and Head of the Digital
Services Department at Brown University Library. Mr. Yott is the lead for a
number of digital initiatives at Brown University including the planning,
development and implementation of an infrastructure for Library digitization
projects and services. Mr. Yott was engaged in similar activities for a
number of years with the University of Virginia Library prior to his move to
Brown University.
These three excellent digital library professionals replace outgoing
Editorial Board members Mark Kornbluh, Michigan State University, Taylor
Surface, OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Ind., and Jerome McDonough,
University of Illinois - Urbana Champagne, former editor of the METS
Editorial Board who is moving to an ex-officio position with the Board.
Again on behalf of the Board, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to
these former Board members for all their efforts on behalf of METS and look
forward to their continuing contributions in the METS community.
