I own one.  It uses posibly the shortest lived commercial format in history- 
a 7" 1/8" wide reel, only available from them (or, now, a closeout house) 
and out for perhaps a year.  Sometimes I need to take a cassette out of its 
housing and control it in the open air- and this got me out of a tight 
corner one time.  It's still in the storage room.
