I've given some thought to why I am so busy after retirement and I think
there are several reasons. 1. I approach our projects differently. Since
I have very day to work on it, I don't make the big effort every day. Time
out to watch TV, to read a book, a slow meal instead of hurried, etc. 2. I
end up adding to a project either by making it fancier than originally
planned, or adding little extras to it. 3. I became lazier as I turned 80
and realized I was never going to get it all done anyway. In my case I also
undertook an additional long-term project that I had never even thought of
before retirement. 15 years researching and writing a book! Jack
