In the past I used FOP and found it very problematic with poor results (esp. unicode issues).

Could you post, or send me off list your config.xml file?

I would be most interested in seeing how you set up your FOP.

We've been using FOP 0.20.4 in production mode at Yale for quite some
time but 0.93 is serviceable, as had been the 0.20.5 branch. 0.20.5
offered 'bookmarks' amongst several other things, but our users were
not terribly enamored with them.

We do get occasional memory management issues on client workstations,
however. This has been a big problem with files in the >7MB range.
