By the way, I've had lengthy arguments over the inaccurate timings shown on
many CD tray cards. Too often, these include ramp time..which is useless if
you're playing a CD on the air and timing to the top of the hour. The CBC
Library would note timings on discs that didn't show them, and these were
always taken from a readout on the player..and thus were also incorrect if the
machine read the time to the beginning of the next track and not the end of the
current one.
And timings on record labels were more widespread than my previous comment.
Transcriptions had to show them in the early 30s, as did Mood Music discs.
