Hi Everyone –
I just wanted to send an e-mail to invite you and your staffs to the
Department of the Interior Library on Wednesday, October 24th at 2:00 pm
for our next free DOI Library Training Session, "Introduction to
HeinOnline (available to Department of the Interior personnel through
the Library's website, http://library.doi.gov) came into existence seven
years ago as an online database providing access to millions of pages of
digitized historical legal periodical content not available on any other
online resource. Since then they have added a number of new collections
to their Law Journal Library, including the Federal Register, U.S.
Supreme Court decisions, Decisions of the Department of the Interior,
U.S. treaties and agreements, Presidential documents, and the recently
added Congressional Record collection. Now numbering tens of millions
of pages of content, HeinOnline provides exact page, digitized images of
all of the documents in its database, most of which date back to the
inception of the publication.
In this training session, you will learn how to use and effectively
search through the HeinOnline database to find materials in its numerous
collections and libraries. This program will be conducted by W.
Shannon Hein III, grandson of the founder of the company.
All that are interested are invited. The DOI Library is located in the
Main Interior Building, located at 1849 C Street, NW, Room 1151 in
Washington. Please contact the Library by phone at (202) 208-5815 or by
e-mail at [log in to unmask] to let us know you will be coming. For more
information about future DOI Library Training Sessions, we encourage you

We hope to see you here on October 24th!
