Cheryl - you raise an excellent point about the band width - San Jose
State administration and faculty is / are very enthusiastic about Second
Life but I haven't heard much yet about how the students are feeling
about it.
What I am interested in doing actually is seeing if there is a way that
students can build a catalog and if this would help people better
understand how they work - I don't know for sure if it would but I
thought it might.

Melodie--
I was tempted to try it with my advanced class, but I'm worried
about the bandwidth required to make it work for students. I don't
have that big a pipe at my home, and my students are possibly on
slower connections. In addition, they are bombarded with every other
online cataloging tool I can throw at them, so I try to have pity.
Are SJSU students dealing well with the SL setup and navigation so
far?
What is happening with the Second Life cataloging group these
days, does anyone know?
