Dear SACO Participants,
In November of 2006, CPSO inaugurated a new, automated system for classification proposals. Instructions and links are on the PCC Website at
http://www.loc.gov/catdir/pcc/saco/ClassWeb/LCClassification.html
The system has worked remarkably well over the past year. Unfortunately, those making proposals sometimes forget the most important step: notifying us that they have made a proposal so that we can forward it through the rest of the system.
There are now about 150 classification proposals input into the system between November 2006 and August 2007 that we are unable to process.
If you have made classification proposals over the past year and wondered whatever became of them, please check the system for languishing proposals and either delete the proposal, or notify us that you want us to process the proposal.
