Join the DC/SLA Chapter with Lee Rainie as he describes the work of the Pew Internet & American Life Project in examining what users do online and how they feel about it. He will pay particular attention to the rise of wireless connectivity and Web 2.0 applications and what they mean for information professionals.
Lee Rainie is the Director of the Pew Internet & American Life Project, a research center that examines the social impact of the Internet. The Project has issued more than 160 reports about how people's Internet use
is affecting their families, communities, health care, education, civic/political life, and work places.
Prior to receiving the grant, Rainie was managing editor of U.S. News & World Report. He is a graduate of Harvard University and has a master's in political science from Long Island University.
