True enough.  I've been focused on figuring out how to make Feeds work
and missed that you were referring to entries.

I'm not sure that I can satisfy that requirement for all of my
databases.  Not every record in the world has a persistent, unique ID.
(I'm going to spend the next couple of months trying to cope with that
very problem in my WorldCat Identities database where I'm handing out
persistent identifiers for records that don't have them.)
