We haven't done something similar (yet), but maybe the University of
Uppsala (Sweden) could help you. They use both package formats:
http://wiki.epc.ub.uu.se/display/FV/DIDL+and+METS+Tools
And please post your findings here on the list, because I think this
will be usefull for others, too.
