NYPL provides PDF access to all new finding aids and a number of legacy
ones via PDF. In fact, some that have not yet been EAD encoded are
available through the same search function ("Archival materials access
tool" - AMAT) on the NYPL website
<http://www.nypl.org/books/findingaids.html>. This tool brings together the
catalog record, EAD and PDF versions of the finding aid for a particular
collection in one place and note the ability to go from catalog to finding
aid and back. It is reasonably handy to use and also provides full text
and/or collection name searching.
