Join FLICC and the librarians from the
Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Roundtable (FAFLRT) to discuss:
Issues in Federal and Armed Forces Libraries
Thursday, May 15, 2008
9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.
(See the complete meeting announcement at
http://www.loc.gov/flicc/ma/2008/ma0822.pdf.)
Who knows better the operations in today’s libraries than those
librarians who do the work? Let’s talk about current program
directions driving federal library goals and objectives.
Please come join us for an informal discussion lead by Roberta
Shaffer, facilitator, to explore the pressing issues having an impact on
the operations of federal and armed forces libraries. These issues may
reflect current programmatic directions within the federal government,
be inherent to a specific agency, or mimic those facing all libraries in
a digital environment.
Come provide your insights concerning these issues to help library
leaders within the federal government best understand how these new
development affect service to our agencies and our end users.
The ALA Washington Office also has an invitation to this interagency
discussion.
