If your library or organization photocopies documents, licenses
online databases and periodicals, has a Web site or Intranet -- and
the many other activities involved with using copyright-protected
materials -- you may want to take advantage of the two comprehensive
copyright programs in Seattle.
On June 14, the course, Managing the Use of Copyright Materials, will
teach you how to avoid copyright infringement law suits, how to
manage copyright risks, the role of the CCC, working with digital
license agreements, monitoring legal and lllegal uses of copyright
materials and what to do if your enterprise is accused of copyright
infringement. The course includes lectures, discussions and hands-on
exercises.
On June 15, the course, Managing Enterprise-Wide Copyright Education,
will teach you to get the word out about copyright in your
organization, educating fellow employees, and developing a copyright
policy and other tools to inform others about practical and relevant
copyright issues.
Further information and registration is at:
www.clickuniversity.org. If you are interested in the SLA/Click
University 7 course program on copyright--start with one of these

As the instructor of the SLA/Click University Certificate in
Copyright Management, I am happy to directly answer any questions you
may have about these 2 courses or the 7 course program.
Hope to see you in Seattle!
