Would these processes be easier to perform, and to manage, if a change
in a name record to undifferentiated (by recognition of identities while
unable to create distinct forms of name), or from undifferentiated to
differentiated (by removal of an identity to a new, unique form of name)
was done by always creating new records, rather than altering an
existing one?
It seems to me that, in strict logic, if a name authority record denotes
a different identity, or a different combination of identities that
cannot be distinguushed in form of entry, it should be a new record.
