National Dialogue on Access to Environmental Information
As the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Chief Information
Officer, I’m inviting you to join EPA’s National Dialogue on Access
to
Environmental Information. During the week of June 9-13, we will host a
blog on EPA’s Web site to solicit ideas from you, our valued and
trusted colleagues - federal, state, and tribal partners - on how to
enhance access to environmental information.
Look for an email from me on June 9th where I will provide a link to
the
live blog. In the meantime, you can find what we have been learning
about information needs and access preferences at:
www.epa.gov/nationaldialogue.
Should you have any immediate questions, please contact
[log in to unmask] and we will get right back with
you.
The goal of the National Dialogue is to inform the development of a
multi-year EPA Access to Environmental Information Strategy to be
completed later this calendar year. As our partner in environmental
protection, you share an interest in enhancing access to high quality
environmental information to support our joint mission. We need your
insights to understand the possibilities both now and for the future.
What challenges do you see? What are the opportunities? How can we
leverage the latest technology innovations? What would you do if you
were in my shoes?
I hope you will reserve some time on your calendar during the week of
June 9-13 to participate. Please feel free to share this invitation
with your organizations’ colleagues.
