Well...mebbe...but I'd still give a LOT of credit to Fletcher Henderson,
who was one of the first jazzmen to abandon the relentless "two-beat"
rhythm of early jazz (and "dixieland"...!) for the four-beat rhythm that
marked early "swing" experiments. Note that one can also listen to
Glen Gray (i.e. "Casa Loma Stomp" c. 1930-31)...!
