I have been asked by the 2009 SAA Program Committee to encourage members 
of the EAD Roundtable to submit proposals for next year’s meeting. The 
theme of the meeting is “Sustaining Archives” and the call for proposals 
can be found here: 
http://www.archivists.org/conference/austin2009/AM09-call.asp.  The 
session proposal deadline is a bit earlier this year (10/8/2008), so the 
Program Committee is trying to get people thinking about proposals ahead 
of the 2008 meeting. The program submission form is available here: 
http://www.archivists.org/conference/.


The EAD Roundtable may endorse up to two session proposals (although 
they may submit as many as they’d like). Endorsements from groups are 
due by 10/20/2008.  A representative from the 2009 Program Committee 
will be at the EAD Roundtable meeting on August 27. In addition, people 
interested in submitting proposals to the EAD Roundtable for endorsement 
may do so to incoming roundtable chair Jill Katte at 
<[log in to unmask]>. Jill will also be available after the EAD 
Roundtable meeting if anyone is interested in discussing session 
proposal ideas.
