The transformation is not creating the
"parker.fo" document which is my first
problem. Until reinstalling NoteTabPro and the
associated folders and files, when I used to run
Saxon (jvm) it created the FO document (in this
particular case it would be "parker.fo") but now
it's not doing it. I ran a search for the
parker.fo document and found one from 6/27/2008
in the C:\temp folder. I don't know why it ended
up there but none of the attempts yesterday to
create an FO document had a positive
result. Anyway, I moved the "parker.fo" document
from C:\temp to its proper home in
C:\pubclass\documents and ran the FO to PDF program and got this error message:
[INFO] Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser as SAX2 Parser
[INFO] FOP 0.20.5
[INFO] Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser as SAX2 Parser
[INFO] building formatting object tree
[INFO] setting up fonts
[ERROR] Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.
All of my other FO documents have the same <?xml
version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> and they created
the PDF document just fine--before I got my new
computer which required me to reinstall
NoteTabPro and the pubclass folder contents. I
don't get it. I hate getting new computers and
upgrades; they make my life hell.
Once I moved the parker.fo from C:\temp and ran
Saxon (jvm) again, the parker.fo popped up on my
screen in NoteTabPro--but still saved in the
C:\temp space rather than
pubclass\documents--(I'd forgotten that you have
to delete the old FO document before trying to
create a new one) but I still get the above error message about the UTF-8.
Any additional suggestions?
