I think changing to AACR2 would be advisable, especially with such
a minimal older AR. CPSO has a statement supporting such a revision:

Subject: [PCCLIST] AACR2-compatible names
Are AACR2-compatible names, the ones with d in Rules, still being
retained in the authority file?
I am adding some cross-references to the rather minimal record (no 670)
for Ploetz, Karl Julius, 1819-1881. The predominant form used on his
books is Carl Ploetz, and I really would rather establish it in that
form. I have a vague impression that we can do this, but perhaps it is
just that new AACR2-compatible headings are no longer being added.
