Columbia reissues of Okeh originals may...or may NOT...be "mater
The complication was that Columbia-pressed discs were slightly larger than
later red-label Columbias...so, in some cases, the original "metal parts,"
available, were slightly too large...while in other cases they created discs
were grooved out the very outside edge! Simply look at the matrix...master
show the Okeh number in the Columbia "italics" style, while some dubs show a
matrix number used for the dub...?!
Biltmore records did NOT use "original metal parts"...they were ALL dubbed,
they were technically "pirated"...
