I asked for one of the free classroom Koha installations from LibLime
back in August, but they didn't get back to me, so nothing to report
here. :-(
The LibLime website just posted a new press release saying they are
opening up the program again, presumably with Koha 3.0.

I've filled out the form again and will report back if anything happens.

Installing Koha on your own (with some school tech support help)
seems within the realm of possibility, but still has the scary "free
kitten" factor. If LibLime does come through with the free
installations it seems like the best of all possible worlds. Even
with their open demos on the website at LibLime you can change
absolutely anything in the staff client and see it take effect in
real time:
