I'm the author of a simple cataloging/collection tool called Tellico, that
primarily runs on the Linux/KDE platform. http://periapsis.org/tellico/
Tellico is able to import MODS files and uses MODS internally as an
intermediate format when querying z39.50 servers. It serves as a simple
database for books, movies, music, or any other records. It's basically
geared towards relatively small collections.
