Wouldn't it be great if we started recording/posting u-tube oral history videos? History for the masses so to speak?

We just finished an oral history project with a Fostex FR-2LE and Audio-Technica
T825 mic. All involved were very, very pleased with the results. The
nterviewer was a pretty non-technical guy, so I set up the Fostex and he just
et it roll. The sound quality of the Fostex is much better than comparable
tock Marantz products we've used in the past.

ubject: Digital oral history recorders - any recommendations?
We are looking to apply for a grant in order to purchase some digital
ecorders for oral history interviews. Up until now we have been using
assettes. I was curious if any of you have any experience with any
articular models, or any recommendations? Keep in mind that these
evices will probably be used by a variety of interviewers (historians,
olunteer
s, etc.), none of them audio engineers, so ease and simplicity
f use is probably the most important factor.
