The Collaborative Electronic Records Project has drawn to a close. This
three-year collaboration between the Rockefeller Archive Center and the
Smithsonian Institution Archives undertook the challenge of long-term
preservation of email collections and their storage in a digital
repository. The team is happy to report that it achieved its goal.
CERP deliverables included:
* Records Management Guidance
* Transfer Guidance
* Email Management Guidance
* METS import file for ingest into DSpace
* Preservation parser to output email collection in the XML
preservation format
* Email Account XML Schema co-developed by CERP and EMCAP
(NHPRC-Funded Preservation of Electronic Mail Collaboration Initiative)
