Dear Colleagues,

I couldn't help but notice that some of you teach cataloging online. We
at the University at Buffalo, Department of Library and Information
Studies, are always looking to refresh our pool of adjunct faculty,
especially those who can teach in the areas of cataloging and knowledge
organization. Below is our ad. We hope you will submit your resumes for us
to keep on file. thanks, lp Lorna Peterson, University at Buffalo

LIS Adjunct Faculty Opportunities, Buffalo

The Department of Library & Information Studies, University at Buffalo,
seeks to refresh its pool of qualified visiting faculty to teach
cataloging
and advanced cataloging on a contingency basis in its Master of Library
Science program. Temporary, non tenure track visiting instructors would
teach a single three credit hour graduate LIS course in a specified
semester. We seek adjuncts for a variety of delivery methods, including
classroom and web based instruction. Minimum qualifications include an ALA
accredited MLS degree or its equivalent, two or more years of professional
experience in library and information agencies, or appropriate
professional
experience for the subject matter taught.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Please mail or E-mail
your
cover letter, resume, and a list of DLIS courses you could teach
<http://www.gse.buffalo.edu/current/course_descriptions.asp#lis>, with
specifics of your qualifications to do so, to: Barbara Routhier,
Department
Assistant, Dept. of Library and Information Studies, Graduate School of
