I would say the same goes for a lot of 50s US RCA Lp transfers of classical 78s.

Maybe the same tracks, but these are the straight unechoed RCA transfers
originally done in 1954 and the most natural-sounding release of the music.

Weren't these same tracks released on the "Glenn Miller
in Stereo" CD about 10 years ago? I've got a copy of
that stashed around here somewhere. It was part of a
"complete Glenn Miller" series some label put out over
the course of a couple years.
